Two md.com forum members were lucky enough to go to Michael's recent concert in Worcester MA for the "Walk to Cure Cancer" concert. Here is their review ;D
Our day started out Rainy and Grey, When Michael started to sing the sun came out and dried up all the rain!!! The concert to Cure Cancer was truly amazing, Michael rocked the stage. From the opening song "Getting So Much Better" to the closing song "Rock On". We all wanted more Michael. He started the show with his new hit single "Getting So Much Better" which is now on the radio. Please don't forget to request it. "Mad About You" came next. We both loved it, as well as the groups of cheerleading fans who were in front of the stage jumping and screaming. We could tell Michael was on Fire. He asked if there were any Y and R fans, and the crowd responded with lots of screaming, which answered his question. My personal favorite, "Was It Nothing At All" followed. OK I CRIED Michael sang from his soul and we all felt that. He told everyone he is working on a new CD which will be out soon and the single from it is going to be" Never Forget You, "which got great response. (Make sure you call your local radio station and request it!!!!) He did a few songs from his Grammy nominated album "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" " Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door". We even were able to see Michael, the athlete, throw the football, when a young fan asked if he could throw it to him. After that the Cheerleaders cheered for Michael and the engery level at that moment was electrifying. We loved that. Then to see Janeen get up and dance to "Rock On", was another highlight for us.
Next time Michael performs in concert, please try and attend it . It is well worth it. The Concert To Cure Cancer raised $800,000 all thanks to Michael Damian.
The day was also extra special for me because I was able to share this moment with Sheri. In the weeks leading up to Boston she kept me laughing through many tears. Sheri made this trip happen for me! She is truly my sister in every way. Micheal Damian is a friend to both of us, But for 45 minutes at the concert we were so The Michael Damian fans and loved every second of that.
Thank you Michael, for ROCKIN BEANTOWN!!!! WE LOVE YOU !!
